Ban Topa events, held on March 26 & 27, 2025, in Amsterdam and Rotterdam

Oranjestad March 28, 2025 - Both “Ban Topa” events, held on March 26 & 27, 2025, in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, respectively, were a success, bringing together students and (young) professionals eager to meet the Central Bank of Aruba (CBA).

As a leading institution in the Aruban community, we are being impacted by the talent shortage in our labor market. Therefore, to attract talents back to Aruba, it is important to provide first-hand information about potential job opportunities at the CBA. The “Ban Topa” events in the Netherlands are the first step in an ongoing effort to stay connected with students and (young) professionals living abroad, fostering relationships by keeping them well-informed. We also discussed their challenges and issues, to possibly find appropriate solutions.

"We had the privilege of connecting with each participant during the “Ban Topa” events and felt their enthusiasm to meet our team, learn more about CBA’s role, and other important developments in the Aruban community. We shared information about internship possibilities, the current vacancies, employee benefits, and the recruitment process. We strongly believe that this initiative is the beginning of well-needed journey, perhaps working also together with other local stakeholders, to inspire and attract graduates and working professionals to come back to Aruba, to be part of the local workforce, and impactfully contribute to the well-being of the Aruban community”. A big thank you to everyone who participated in our events, including the representatives of Arubahuis who attended the “Ban Topa” in Rotterdam. We will stay connected and perhaps meet again as a member of the staff of the CBA.
